As you probably noticed we are group dedicated to gather, discuss and exchange art and experience about armoured combat vechiles. Every military enthusiast interested in armoured vechiles is more than welcome to join and submit your work. But before you do so, be sure that they are submitted into correct folder.
We have folders for specified types of vechiles. We'll add aditional folders if needed.
"Featured": Only for best works and competition winners.
"Main battle tanks"
A main battle tank (MBT), also known as a battle tank or universal tank, is a tank that fills the heavy direct fire role of many modern armies. Notice the MODERN word. For example: T-55, Leopard 1 & 2 series, M1 Abrams, Challenger, Centurion etc.
A heavy tank was a subset of tank that filled the heavy direct-fire role of many armies. Tanks like Tiger I & II series, IS tank series, Maus,
Medium tank was a classification of tanks; the medium being intermediate in size and weight and armament between heavy tanks and light tanks. Vechiles like: Panther tank series, T-34 series, Sherman tank series.
A light tank is a tank variant initially designed for rapid movement, and now primarily employed in low-intensity conflict. Early light tanks were generally armed and armored similar to an armored car, but used tracks in order to provide better cross-country mobility.
A tankette is a type of lightly armed and armored tracked combat vehicle resembling a small tank roughly the size of a car, mainly intended for light infantry support or reconnaissance.
A tank destroyer, is a type of armored fighting vehicle armed with a gun, or missile launcher, and is designed specifically to engage enemy armored vehicles. Many have been based on a [tracked] tank chassis, while others are wheeled.
"Self propelled artillery"
Self-propelled artillery (also called mobile artillery or locomotive artillery) vehicles are mobile artillery platforms. Within the term are covered self-propelled guns (or howitzers) and rocket artillery. They are high mobility vehicles, usually based on caterpillar track carrying either a large howitzer or other field gun or alternatively a mortar or some form of rocket or missile launcher. They are usually used for long-range indirect bombardment support on the battlefield.
This folder is for your own creations/ fictional designs and works based on existing armoured combat vechiles.
It's aplace to submit drawings of people related to armoured fighting vechiles. Such as tank crews etc.
"Armoured personal carrier"
An armoured personnel carrier (APC) is an armoured fighting vehicle designed to transport infantry to the battlefield.
"Anti tank guns"
Anti-tank guns are guns designed to destroy armored vehicles from defensive positions. In order to penetrate vehicle armor they fire smaller calibre shells from longer-barreled guns to achieve higher muzzle velocity. Anti tank rifles (ATR) are also accepted.
This folder is for images of plastic, paper, wooden or any otheher model kits.
Folder for images with more than one vechile on it.
A military armored (or armoured) car is a wheeled armored vehicle, lighter than other armored fighting vehicles, primarily being armored and/or armed for self-defense of the occupants. Other multi-axled wheeled military vehicles can be quite large, and actually be superior to some smaller tracked vehicles in terms of armor and armament. Vechiles like Ba-10, Ba-64, SdKfz 223 and similiar vechiles.
Rocket artillery is a type of artillery equipped with rocket launchers instead of conventional guns or mortars. MLRS, T34 Calliope, Katyusha rocket launcher.
"Armoured recovery vechiles"
An armoured recovery vehicle (ARV) is a type of armoured fighting vehicle used to repair battle- or mine-damaged as well as broken-down armoured vehicles during combat, or to tow them out of the danger zone for more extensive repairs. To this end the term "Armoured Repair and Recovery Vehicle" (ARRV) is also used.
An assault gun is a gun or howitzer mounted on a motor vehicle or armored chassis, designed for use in the direct fire role in support of infantry when attacking other infantry or fortified positions.
"Self-propelled anti-aircraft weapons"
An anti-aircraft vehicle, also known as a self-propelled anti-aircraft weapon (SPAA) or self-propelled air defense system (SPAD), is a mobile vehicle with a dedicated anti-aircraft capability. The Russian equivalent of SPAAG is ZSU, for zenitnaya samokhodnaya ustanovka, ("anti-aircraft self-propelled mount").
Folder for ALL vehicles made as replicas of original AFVs/ For example T-34 rebuilt to look as Tiger tanks T-55 rebuilt to look like Panther, SU-100 rebuilt to look like jagdpanther (such a waste of SU-100)
"World War I tanks and AFVs" For every kind of vehicle used during Great War. British tanks (for example Mark V male etc) German A7V and other tin cans.
"Cars, jeeps, trucks" For these types of vehicles.
Screenshots from games, movies, television and My little pony stuff, even if related to AFVs. ARE ABSOLUTELY FORBIDDEN IN THE GROUP, in 2nd case (mlp stuff) it will be treated as profanation. THIS GROUP IS ANTI WORLD OF TANKS AND WAR-GAY-MING. ANYTHING RELATED TO IT- GTFO.
Submissions posted to incorrect folders will be removed without any warning.
